CitationNet makes it easy to visualize the connections among publications over time

Enter a PubMed or OpenAlex ID — or find the paper by name with Search by Title — then choose a direction. References shows the earlier publications your paper cites. Citations shows the later publications that cite your paper. Both shows them together.

Single Query Publication ID: CitationNet finds the publications the query publication cites, then the publications those cite in turn.

Multiple Query Publication IDs: CitationNet finds the publications each query publication cites, then highlights every work that two or more of them cite.

Results appear as an interactive graph, stacked by publication year with the newest at the top, next to a table you can sort, filter by keyword, and export. The About page explains how to read the graph.
